XTREME team carried its fleet 86 (KTM X-BOW GT4| Ling Kang, Lu Sihao), fleet 87 (KTM X-BOW GT4, Wei Tianyi, Liu Kai), fleet 25 (Radical RXC Turbo| Song Bo, Dominic. Ang), fleet 68 (Radical RXC Turbo| Liu Kai, Lu Sihao) to compete in GT4, GTC group.

In the fifth round final of GT4 group in the morning, No. 86 car (KTM X-Bow GT4) driven by Ling Kang started at the sixth place, after starting, took a more extreme pursuit strategy, and continued to narrow the lap time gap with the front car, When crossing the corner 1, surpassed the No. 570 McLaren car on the outside line, ranking to the third. It is worth mentioning that the car that has achieved pole position has great advantage in BoP this weekend, which can distance quickly in the straight line. However, as for our KTM car’s performance, the car increases the weight of 140 kilograms and lose more speed, which makes the competition ability drop due to the BoP race meeting. Even so, as the race neared the opening of the maintenance area, the No. 86 car went steadily all the way, keeping the car in the best condition and giving the second place to his partner, Lu Sihao.

After half of the race, the rain turned sharply and the water on the road suddenly increased, which resulted in a sharp decrease in the car’s grip performance. Many racing cars skidded out of the track, causing collision accident, the race will be terminated with a red flag, and the race result will be the same circle result before the red flag is terminated. Finally, the No.86 car driven by Ling Kang, Lu Sihao failed to play the advantage of the car to continue to catch up, and won the second place in CT4 group.

The No. 87 car (KTM X-BOW GT4) driven by the first driver Wei Tianyi started at the 10th place in the GT4 group. After starting the race, it played a steady and positive role, and then the ranking rose to the 8th place. After the maintenance area was open, Wei Tianyi actively carried out the team strategy and brought the car back to the maintenance area early, and gave the baton to partner Liu Kai. In the second half of the race, the fight with the No. 55 Ginetta car was particularly intense, with the ranking on the field constantly altering. Due to the early termination of the competition, the ranking is regrettable to stop here. After the race, the driver Wei Tianyi also said that it was acceptable to abide by the rules of the games and finish the first rain battle safely and get the third place in AM group, and looked forward to the sixth round of the race!

In the afternoon, the final of the fifth round of GT3/GTC team came as expected. The No. 25 Radical RXC Turbo started at the third position of GTC group, then at at the end of the main straight, turn 15, the car was hit by the side of the Porsche 911 car of the Hugo team at high speed, causing the front axle of the car to break, triggering the sorry exit of safety car No. 25.

In the final of the sixth round of GT4 group, according to the results of the second stage of qualifying, the No. 86(KTM X-BOW GT4| Ling Kang, Lu Sihao) and No. 87(KTM X-BOW GT4| Wei Tianyi, Liu Kai) respectively started from the third and fourth position of the group. Based on the race conditions of the previous round, the choice of tyre strategy has become a “big bet” among teams in a dry-and-wet alternate race environment. In order to achieve better results, the experienced Pro driver, Ling Kang, chose a more aggressive tyre strategy, using dry ground tyres to fight, while Liu Kai and Wei Tianyi, the AM drivers, adopted a conservative strategy and chose rain tyres to fight.

At the beginning of the departure, No. 86 KTM X-BOW GT4 immediately joined the entanglement fight camp, three cars enter the curve side by side and the fight was very fierce. At this time, there was light rain on the track, and the accumulated water was getting more. The grip of No. 86 car with dry tires was weak and a series of collision and continuous skidding occurred. Although driver Lu Sihao quickly controlled the situation and took the car back to the maintenance area to replace the rain tires, the ranking on the field had fallen to the end. And then finished the game at ninth place.

No. 87 KTM X-BOW GT4 is driven by Liu Kai as the first driver. At the start of the race, the car No. 87 took advantage of the car’s cornering to overtake the car in the race, and once made the fastest single lap of the race, ranking first in the whole race. Under the changeable weather conditions, the rain increased, The No. 87 car with rain tires showed the advantages of the car’s lap speed, and played a very good role in taking large straight lines and curves. When closing to the maintenance area window opening, No. 87 car completed the replacement at the second place. Then, No. 87 car driven by the second driver, Wei Tianyi, launched a fierce fight with the No. 6 car in the front, between the attack and defense, Wei Tianyi played stably all the way. In the last penultimate lap of the race, the No. 87 car was overtaken by the No. 5 AMG GT4, which had more horsepower in a straight line, and finished the race with the third place in the race, winning the third place in the whole race and the champion in the AM group, which was the best result for the two Am drivers since they entered China GT. In the final of the sixth round of the GTC group, the No. 25 Radical RXC Turbo, driven by Song Bo and Dominic.Ang, was unable to have enough time to repair due to the major accident of the race the day before yesterday, which made the power steering of the car difficult, so the drivers struggled to complete the race.

The No.68 Radical RXC Turbo driven by Liu Kai and Lu Sihao, started from the pole position of GTC group at the fastest lap speed (2.09.769) in the second round of qualifying. According to the previous team strategy, No. 68 car adopted a more conservative tyre setting before the race, using a rain tire. After half of the race, the track started to dry off, the first driver, Liu Kai, in time made a strategic adjustment and went back to the maintenance room to replace the dry tire. After returning to the track, the No. 68 car struggled to catch up, but still failed to regain ranking advantage at the beginning of the race.

In the end, fleet 25 (Radical RXC Turbo| Song Bo, Dominic. Ang) won the third place of PA Combination of GTC group, while fleet 68 (Radical RXC Turbo| Liu Kai, Lu Sihao) won the third place of Am Combination of GTC group.
